Welcome to the official Blog of the Obesity Action Coalition. The OAC is an organization made up of individuals just like you – those who are touched by obesity in some way. The OAC developed this Blog for you to openly discuss current obesity-related events, topics and issues.

As many of you are aware, the state of Mississippi unsuccessfully tried to pass a bill that would allow restaurants the right to refuse service to those affected by obesity. The OAC promptly responded to this legislation and called on the legislators to withdraw the bill. The bill was eventually killed in committee. What are your thoughts on this type of legislation?
