During December, the Obesity Action Coalition (OAC) joined with dozens of other organizations in supporting a House resolution sponsored by Representatives Marcia Fudge (D-OH) and Kay Granger (R-TX) that would designate the month of September as Childhood Obesity Awareness Month.

Although, I, and many others, would strongly recommend taking the negative label of “obesity” out the the name.
